Adam C. Dooley, MD specializes in arthroscopy and treatment of sports-related injuries, as well as open and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip and knee injuries. He also performs surgical joint replacement for arthritis of the knee, hip and shoulder.

Dr. Dooley is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine. He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

A native of Alabama, Dr. Dooley graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas; where, as a chief resident he was awarded the Carl L. Nelson Leadership Award. He then completed an orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship with world-renowned experts at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi and Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Dooley and his wife, Melissa, have three children; Jackson, William, and Matthew. He enjoys snow skiing, exercise/fitness activities, football, hunting and other outdoor recreational activities with his family.
