Dr. Hancy completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA., followed by a master’s degree in medical science from the University of South Florida in Tampa.  He then received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, where he graduated with a 3.97 GPA, earning 5 academic scholarships, and was elected president of AOA (the national honor society for medical schools).  Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center, the busiest level 1 trauma center in the state of Florida.  During his final year of training he completed an additional 6 months of hand surgery specific training.


Dr. Hancy and his wife Anna, an Auburn native, reside in Auburn with their three children, Henley, Brooks and Lydia.  He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and playing golf.
